Let’s work together to help your learner build confidence, skills, and a positive relationship with learning.
Empowering Every Learner With Understanding, Patience, and Purpose
At Quintessence Counselling and Supportive Services we recognize that every young person learns differently. Our tutoring support is designed to meet students where they are whether they’re struggling academically, managing learning differences, or simply need extra guidance to stay on track.
We work with children and teens across a range of learning needs, including students with diagnosed or suspected neurodiversities, such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD / Executive Functioning challenges
- Dyslexia and other learning differences
- Anxiety impacting school performance
Whether your child needs help with reading, writing, math, organization, or study skills, our tutoring approach is personalized, compassionate, and backed by psychological insight.
What Makes Our Tutoring Support Unique?
Neuroaffirming Approach
We honor neurodiversity by embracing different ways of thinking, learning, and engaging with the world. Our tutors are trained to adapt their strategies to each student’s strengths, interests, and needs — creating a safe, supportive environment where learners can thrive.
Collaborative Care
We work in partnership with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure continuity of support. If your child has an IEP, learning plan, or school-based goals, we can integrate those into our sessions.
Executive Function Coaching
For students who struggle with focus, time management, organization, or motivation, we offer targeted support to build self-awareness and independence. These are critical life skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Subject-Specific Support
From literacy to math, we tailor our academic support to meet the student’s current curriculum and level of understanding. Sessions can focus on skill-building, homework help, or catching up after missed learning time.
Who We Support
Our tutoring services are available for:
- Primary & secondary school students
- Students with or without formal diagnoses
- Young people experiencing school anxiety or burnout
- Youth navigating transitions (e.g., entering high school or postsecondary)
We offer both in-person and online sessions, depending on your location, preferences and suitability.
